Brother Printers
Practice Area: Consumer & Unsafe Products
Along with their co-counsel, Cohen Milstein has filed a case against Brother International Corporation for making defective multi-function printer-scanner-copier machines. The machines breakdown prematurely, and also consume unreasonable amounts of ink. The machines require all four ink cartridges be filled to operate, and will alert users that a cartridge is “empty,” even though there is still ink in the cartridges. In addition, users encounter a “Machine Error 41” message, which requires expensive repairs if the product is no longer covered under its one-year warranty.
